Guildford RFC run two Vets teams:

Guildford Vets

Guildford Vets are the senior Vets side and play in the Surrey Vets League 1 (league champions 2019/20) and Surrey Vets Cup (Cup Winners 2016/17) which equates to about 10 games a season. Matches take place either Friday nights or Saturdays. Both the league and cup fixtures are very competitive and there are no easy fixtures in either competition, primarily first team rugby played at a slightly slower pace. We don’t train per se but Touch Wednesday is our alternative.

Guildford Vets Baa Baas

This is the Vets social team and play around 4 or 5 games a season. The make up of the Baa Baas is predominantly guys who come to touch rugby Wednesday nights but haven't taken to the field of play in a number of years (in some cases 15+ years). The ethos of the Baa Baas is to take part, be involved and show off those silky skills, have the chance to wear the Guildford Vets shirt with pride and above all have fun (yes winning makes the beer taste sweeter but it is primarily about being part of the Vets family), you have to earn the right to take beer.
