U15 Girls

Play RUGBY with Guildford Grizzlies U15s.

Learn Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline & Sportsmanship. Your first 3 training sessions are FREE.

Guildford RFC is fully committed to growing Girls rugby in the area. It’s the fastest-growing Girls sport!

We are fortunate to have girls already playing who represent most schools in the area. For new starters we operate a “Buddy” scheme to help them settle into the club and their new squad.

The Guildford Girls U15s team train on Sundays (Sept – April) from 10:00am – 12:00pm at the club.
With a dedicated and highly experienced coaching team, headed up by Harlequins 1st team regular and Australia International player – Chloe Butler @ChloeButs, we help the girls learn the game, build their confidence to enjoy rugby in a fun and safe environment.
As well as regular training sessions at the club, we arrange social events and joint coaching sessions with other local clubs to build the enjoyment of travelling & playing against other teams.

We also play friendly matches pre-christmas to build experience and then enter competitions in spring.  In May 2020 we plan to take the entire Girls section on tour, to play in an inter club Girls rugby tournament, playing teams from across the country. Our Squad Ethos: promote enjoyment of rugby to all players of whatever ability, seeking to improve technical skills and performance at every level. Our Goals for the Season: to play to our best abilities, to improve our individual and teamwork skills, to have fun.

Training
Training takes place each Sunday between 10-11. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to ensure your child’s name is ticked off on the register, you have written a name label to help the coaches and you have helped your child to put on a tag belt if the coaches have asked for these to go on.

Looking after your child
As the weather gets cooler please ensure the children wear layers and bring a snack and drink to keep their energies up. There is typically a break at some time during training to have a drink but please look after your child and give them drinks or snacks at any time if they are asking for them. Better to keep their energies up than have them “hangry”.

Please remember to keep with you any medication your child may need such as inhalers or epi-pens. Even if their condition is only mild it is always better to have than not. Please also make your First Aid Team and/or your Team Admin aware of any medical conditions.
