Guildford Rugby Club are looking for a Head Coach of Ladies Rugby for their ambitious Gazelles rugby team, who play in Women’s Championship South West 2.
We are looking for an enthusiastic leader who is a good communicator and passionate about ladies rugby. The Head Coach would be able to call on a number of other coaches across the senior staff and would be encouraged to set up their own coaching team. We are looking to take our successful squad forward, with ambitions to win the league we are in, start a regular 2nd XV and build a strong link with our U11, U13 and U15 girls teams in order to develop a future pipeline of home-grown players.
The post reports in to the Director of Rugby.
The Head Coach has full ownership of coaching style and direction and will be encouraged to appoint a coaching staff.
The Head Coach will be responsible for the recruitment, development and retention of senior players.
The Head Coach will have a budget for equipment and is expected to manage the resources available to them.
The Head Coach will be given administrative support from the wider Club with regards to membership and registration.
We would like a Head Coach with RFU coaching qualification level 2 or above and be DBS cleared.
We expect any Head Coach candidate to understand and have been trained in both Safeguarding and Mental Health.
