How the lottery works
Each player chooses 6 numbers between 0 and 9, inclusive.
We match the players chosen numbers against the second digit of temperatures in Fahrenheit in selected destinations around Europe.
The table below shows an example of how the results are arrived at...

In the example above, the winning combination based on those temperatures is:
3-6-1-7-2-4
So if a player has chosen those numbers, they would win the maximum prize for the lottery game type they had entered up to £200,000.
Sunshine Lottery
- £1.00 per entry per week
- Four chances to win up to £10,000 (Monday to Thursday)
- 35% of the Sunshine Lottery sales goes to your organisation
Lightning Lottery
- £2.00 per entry per week
- Win up to £100,000 (Lottery every Friday)
- 60% of the Lightning Lottery sales goes to your organisation
Cyclone Lottery
- £5.00 per entry per week
- Win up to £200,000 (Lottery every Quarter)
- 40% of the Cyclone Lottery sales goes to your organisation
Rainbow Lottery
- £2.00 per entry per entry
- You get a chance to win fabulous prizes "money can`t buy"
- 60% of the Rainbow Lottery sales goes to the organisation of you choice
To date The Weather Lottery has paid out over £5,000,000 in prizes!
Prizes for each lottery are as printed in The Great Weather Lottery form or leaflet in current issue.
There are no alternatives for any prize and no interest is payable. Limited
to one prize is dependent on players having complied with the Full Rules.
Prizes will be sent as cheques (or as the Promoter otherwise elects)
within 28 days.
The Lottery is not responsible for any delay with bank payments.
No liability is accepted for the loss, theft or delayed receipt of any communication sent by post.
The Promoter’s decisions made pursuant to the Rules shall, once made, be final and binding.
Save where the Rules expressly provide otherwise, the Promoter shall not be obliged to respond to or enter into any correspondence.
The lottery is promoted by the Promoter and conducted for the benefit of the Society.
