Chairman's Welcome

The project entails the provision of additional and new changing facilities and toilets on the ground floor; extended and remodelled tea room facilities, new toilets and improvements to the Bar on the 1st floor.
A combination of fund raising, promised financial commitments and recent receipt of a £92,000 Grant from the RFU Foundation will ensure the initial construction works are fully funded, but in order to conclude the redevelopment, we still need to raise a further £250,000 during the next few months.
This is a huge task requiring a phenomenal amount of work and it is very gratifying to see the enthusiasm and commitment already being made on a wide variety of fund raising events by the many volunteers within all sections of the club.

Every Pound donated by Members and friends of the Club will help us achieve our goal in creating a legacy for current and future generations to enjoy their rugby and all of the social activities around the game.
Your help is needed and will be greatly appreciated.

Buy-A-Brick Campaign June 2011

As highlighted in the latest newsletter, our next fund raising event Sponsor A Brick is now launched. As the name implies it gives everyone the opportunity of buying a virtual brick which ultimately will be converted into real bricks during the construction works for the clubhouse.

Bricks are costed at £20, £50 or £100 each. There is no limit to the amount you can buy but we really do hope that everyone could manage £20 for 1 brick. We also provide the opportunity for any local business to buy a corporate brick which are available from £100 to £1000. Corporate supporters get the ability to feature their business details which will be widely circulated within and beyond the club. In order to provide an element of competition between all of the teams and sections within the Broadwater Sports club family, we have developed a solution which shows a league table for all of the contributions that are made. In addition, everyone who buys a brick will have their name added to a plaque we will create when the clubhouse is opened.

How to Buy A Brick

Step 1 - Follow this link or go to http://www.guildfordrugbyclub.com/buy-a-brick

Step 2 - Select how much you are prepared to pay, either £20, £50 or £100.

Step 3 - Follow the steps on the site which will ask you your name, age group or section of the club you are representing. You will then be able to create your own personal message.

Step 4 - Having finished your message, save it and you will then be directed to the Clubs Just Giving Website page which enables you to fill in all of the payment details AND very importantly allows the club to add the Gift Aid from UK taxpayers.

Step 5 - Return to the page and see your brick and message in the virtual wall.
